The European Commission is currently updating and consolidating regulations related to plastics in contact with foodstuffs. These changes are called PIM or Plastic Implementation Measure. Featured speaker Nick Kernoghan, UK Director of Pira International says, "A huge advantage of the PIM is that it consolidates all the food contact legislation for plastics in one document. However, it does extend the scope of the legislation and makes significant chances to how migration testing will be done in future."
