For more regulated sectors (pharmaceutical & medical) Pira assists with identifying the relevant standard and how it should be applied prescriptively for FDA, MHRA, MDMA compliance.

Within consumer packaged goods sectors, projects commonly this involve generating a bespoke testing programme drawing from Pira's 50+ years of supply chain hazard knowledge built up from field, lab and data recording projects.

Pira's Sam Sheppard Fidler chairs the ISTA European Executive Council and holds an ISTA board director position.

Pira is also represented on the CEN and ISO bodies responsible for developing packaging performance standards.

Pira's laboratory is UKAS and ISTA accredited.
